Who’s reading for you

Cherise A. Pollard, PhD, is a psychic, medium, Reiki Master Teacher, and healer offering virtual and in-person tarot, crystal readings, and Akashic Records sessions.
It began with a deck. A dear friend, Christina Lynn Bell, placed a Rider-Waite tarot deck in her hands — and something in her recognised it before she understood why. She spent hours with those seventy-eight cards, learning their faces the way you learn the face of someone you love: slowly, then all at once. She was good. Frighteningly good — good enough that it scared her, before she’d learned how to protect her own energy, how to close a door once she’d opened it. So she put the deck away. Not for a season. For almost twenty years.
When she picked the cards back up, it wasn’t like starting over. It was like coming home to an old friend who had been waiting the whole time. Her hands still knew the weight of the deck. Her mind still held the language — the suits and numbers of the Minor Arcana, the soul’s unfolding written into the Major Arcana. What she’d loved from the very beginning came rushing back whole: that divination is a doorway — a way of listening for our guides, and for the ones we love who’ve crossed to the other side.
The Rider-Waite-Smith deck gave her sitters real fulfilment, and it gave her the same. But somewhere in all those readings, she kept meeting an absence — a shape cut out of the deck where something else belonged. The traditional cards weren’t built to hold the particular weight of now: the tangle of relationships, the ache of unhealed trauma, the sheer pressure of being alive in this exact moment. So she built what was missing herself. She calls it The Pink Light.
It asks a different question. It gives the reader and the sitter a shared language for looking straight at the forces actually shaping one particular life — not fate in the abstract, but the real dynamics underneath it. It hands her guides a new vocabulary: images built for exactly what matters to you, right now, in the moment you’re actually living.
